NetGaurd

NetGaurd ("the App", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. The App does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or phone number to use. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
To show you WiFi and mobile data usage, NetGaurd reads network usage statistics that your device's operating system already tracks (e.g. via Android's Usage Access / Network Statistics permission).
This includes information such as:
This information is read directly from your device's operating system, is processed entirely on your device, and is never uploaded to us or to any server we operate. We do not have a backend, a user database, or any way to see your usage statistics.
NetGaurd does not collect your name, email address, contact list, precise location, photos, messages, browsing history, or the content of your network traffic. The App only reads aggregate data-usage numbers already recorded by your device — it does not inspect, log, or transmit what you actually do online. The only exception is the limited, non-personal device information used by our advertising partner, described in Section 5 below.
All of the following stays on your device and is never uploaded to us:
This data is not accessible to us and never leaves your device. You can erase it at any time by clearing the App's local storage/cache or by uninstalling the App.
NetGaurd is free and supported by ads. Ads help cover the cost of development so the App can stay free to use.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process limited information from your device, which can include:
The App shows three kinds of ads:
Ad data is collected and processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not receive, store, or have any access to it — we only see anonymous, aggregated earnings totals. You can control personalised advertising in these ways:
You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
NetGaurd requests Usage Access (or equivalent network statistics) permission to read data-usage totals, and internet access to load advertisements. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, messages, precise location, or the content of your network traffic.
NetGaurd is a general-audience utility app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we don't collect personal information at all. Because the App shows advertising, parents and guardians should supervise use by younger users.
Because we do not store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. Everything the App creates lives on your device and is fully under your control. You can remove it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of NetGaurd after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
